Volunteering

Summit Academy of Southwest Ohio values the participation of parents in the life and activities of the school.  We recognize that parents' support is vital to their student's success and to the overall health of the school. Summit Academy offers a number of opportunities for parents to be actively involved.

Volunteering in the School

Parents are invited and encouraged to volunteer in their child’s classroom.  Check with your child’s teacher regarding best dates and times.  In addition, Summit Academy is eager to utilize the special skills and knowledge of parents, grandparents, and community members who wish to volunteer their time and expertise. If you possess a talent in music, the arts, a foreign language, Bible instruction, business acumen, or other skills that could contribute to students' development, please speak with the administration to see if we can arrange an opportunity (one-time or ongoing) for you to enrich the life of the school.

Extracurricular Activities

Summit Academy of Southwest Ohio is proud to sponsor an accomplished and thriving Bible quiz team that competes locally, regionally, and nationally.  There are volunteer opportunities for parents of Bible quizzers to assist with the program.  In addition, parents are encouraged to contact the administration if there is an extracurricular activity that they would like to organize for the benefit of students.

Chaperoning

Chaperones are often needed for field trips or other class events. Parents who are able to volunteer as chaperones make these exciting events possible for students. Teachers organizing field trips or other events will coordinate parent volunteers for that  event.
