Academics
Summit Academy offers a first-rate academic program with an emphasis on content that is hands-on, interactive, and engaging.
Faculty Credentials
We have carefully selected top-notch educators who not only bring enthusiasm, creativity, and excellence to the classroom, but who also embody our mission by exhibiting Christian character, respect, kindness, and professionalism. Each of our full-time teachers is state-certified, with several of them holding a Master's degree in education and having decades of classroom teaching experience. Our staff team also includes an experienced intervention specialist (IEP), reading specialist, a special-needs instructor, and a seasoned school administrator. In addition, our valuable volunteers provide supplemental instruction aid teachers in various capacities. Our low student-to-teacher ratio means that teachers are able to focus on the individual needs and special strengths of each student to ensure maximum academic achievement.
Curriculum
All of our teaching materials align with the truth of God's Word, enabling students to form a solid, Biblical worldview. Our program director and teachers carefully select each textbook to ensure that it:
Most of our course materials are published by A Beka. In addition, Summit Academy incorporates materials from Apologia (Science), Saxon (Math), Orton Gillingham (Supplement to Phonics and Reading), and other publishers to ensure that students are building a solid academic foundation in each subject area.
